Royal National Institute of Blind People:
Training and establishing a network of Vision Friends

Following successful delivery in Wales, the Vision Friends programme received funding from the Foundation with the aim to work with CareTech staff to review and roll out the project in the care sector.

The programme has now developed the Vision Friend training programme, toolkit and resources. There are four modules, each one-hour long, and training is delivered face-to-face and virtually. Training has been provided to 55 staff members across CareTech and Crossreach, a learning disabilities care provider in Scotland, has also signed up to receive the training.
