We are pleased to award a Match-Funding GrantĀ to Amanda Mason, to support the efforts she made to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association.
On October 14th, Amanda participated in a fundraising walk to benefit Alzheimer’s support, demonstrating her commitment to making a difference. Through her dedication and perseverance, she raised an impressive $570 individually!
Amanda’s fundraising efforts will contribute to supporting their vital work in assisting families and individuals facing this challenging condition.
Reflecting on motivations, Amanda shared, “My mother-in-law, Penny Grabiner, was a kind, generous and all-around wonderful human of the highest caliber. Alzheimer’s disease took and took from her until there was nothing left to take, and she sadly passed away last year. This year, my husband and I created a team to complete the Alzheimer’s Association Walk both to honor her memory and to help raise funds for an organization whose mission is to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.”
“Penny is the most recent person I have lost to Alzheimer’s, but my Grandfather was also affected, and working as a speech language pathologist, I have had relationships with many other individuals and families affected as well. They each deserve the support and care the Alzheimer’s Association helps provide, as well as the hope they fund by supporting research.”
“I give great thanks to my team and everyone who donated or supported our mission! I individually raised $970 including the CareTech Foundation’s generous Match Grant, and as a team we raised $5,680 for the Alzheimer’s Association! Thank you!”
