The Foundation has awarded a Community Grant of £1,500 to support the historic Dudley Town Football Club, to buy a new strip for its players going into the 2022/23 season.
As part of its commitment to raising awareness of and promoting the great work of care workers and the social care sector, the strip will feature the “Championing Social Care” logo. All proceeds from the 20% mark-up of replica shirts will go to Dudley Town FC’s nominated charity: The Care Workers’ Charity. This a further two-year agreement with the Foundation and is a great way for Dudley Town FC to continue to champion social care.
The Care Workers’ Charity was founded in 2009 with the objective of supporting current and former care workers with one-off crisis grants. The charity supports almost 2 million care workers in the UK, contributing to one of the largest workforces.
