Laura Tooke
Foundation Secondee
Having joined the CareTech Foundation in October 2024 as part of the Foundation’s Secondment Programme, Laura brings a wealth of experience from various private sector roles, particularly in residential care and specialised education settings. Her understanding of diverse backgrounds enhances her approach to her work.
Currently pursuing her National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), Laura has held numerous management positions and possesses a Chartered Management and Leadership Diploma, along with a postgraduate degree in Management Studies.
In her role as an Education Coordinator in the North East Region, she has collaborated with residential care providers, educational institutions, young people, staff, and families to achieve positive educational outcomes for the children in her care. This experience has led her to the Foundation, where she will contribute valuable insights and expertise while supporting the Pakistan Special Education Initiative (PSEI).
Laura possesses strong interpersonal skills and a passion for networking, allowing her to build meaningful relationships with all stakeholders. She firmly believes that everyone has the potential to make a difference within the education system, maximising outcomes and best practices.
